The singer, who grew up in Glasgow's Dennistoun, told the hosts the reason why she decided to extend her final 'Champagne for Lulu' tour.

Although Lulu said she's not going to stop singing or performing, she explained that she is planning to take a step back from touring.

And part of it was because she is now 75 years old.

Lulu explained: "It's not the last time ever I'm going to sing, it's not the last time ever I'm going to perform.

"But doing a tour is the way I've normally done them - I'm 75 now!"

Kate then chimed in: "That's ridiculous, you look so young."

Lulu carried on: "I did a final tour just a few months ago and because it sold out and people couldn't get in, the promoters enticed me - which wasn't hard to do - to do a B-part/Part 2.

"So November I start that".

Talking about her recent struggles, Lulu revealed that she had moderate hearing loss from her time in the music industry.

She said: "At 75 my hearing isn't as good as it used to be.

"But if you're in the rock and roll business or if you're a performer... a lot of them are deaf!"

Viewers were stunned to find out her real age with many believing that she was years younger.

Many took to social media to praise Lulu for how good she looks for her age.

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: "Lulu .. is just F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S"

Another added: "Lulu looks amazing for 75!"

While a third chimed in: "Lulu is 75?? Jesus".

And a fourth commented: "Lulu looking fantastic on GMB this morning. Going on tour again after 60 years in the business!"

But it was some of Lulu's other comments that rubbed many of her Scottish fans the wrong way.

Fans were quick to share their complaints after Lulu shared her support for the England national team.

The musician shared her thoughts ahead of the Euro 2024 final match on Sunday between Spain and England.

Adil asked her: "I have to ask you - I know it's hard to believe but you were a big star the last time we won a trophy in 1966.

"Do you get the same feeling now? Do you feel that we're going to win it on Sunday? Does it feel like 66 to you?"

She responded: "I am very optimistic and I think Gareth Southgate is absolutely the hero - I mean how fantastic.

"But I have to say it's funny my whole family were all watching the telly the other day and we were all supporting England."

Kate then chipped in: "But you're from Scotland?"

Laughing, Lulu said: "Exactly - somebody said that to me!

LULU'S HEARING LOSS

LULU revealed that she is living with moderate hearing loss – after a hearing check at Specsavers revealed the impact that 60 years in the music industryhas had on her hearing.

The Scottish singing sensation is on her seventh decade of performing her debut single ‘Shout’.

And the news that her career has damaged her hearing comes just weeks after the wowed crowds at Glastonbury.

Lulu said: "After being on stage nearly all of my life, I have always noticed ringing and muffled sounds, but never really thought much of it.

"Music has always been a cornerstone of everything I do, so it’s incredibly important that I can still enjoy it.

"Wearing hearing aids will mean I can continue to hear every
note.

"But it’s more than just this – connecting with people is a huge part of my life and I want to be able to join the conversation and not be left out of it.

"The good news is it’s not too late for me to preserve the rest of my hearing. Using hearing protection is such a simple and easy thing to do when around live music and I urge others to wear it.

"Music is still my life, and I plan to carry on enjoying it for many years to come."

Romaan Babar, audiologist at Specsavers, said: "What might start as a minor annoyance after a gig can lead to long-term consequences.

"It’s never too late to start protecting your ears. Wearing ear plugs, not standing too close to speakers, and taking breaks from loud environments can all help preserve your hearing."

"But if it was England and Scotland then we would be shouting for Scotland - not shouting for England.

"But yes, I'm optimistic".

Despite sharing her support for both sides, many fans were unhappy that she was "optimistic" about England's chances whilst being Scottish herself.

A user commented: "Lulu is another England Boot licker."

Someone else wrote: "Lulu is supporting England... Surprise, surprise".
