Horror moment cop is stabbed in the neck by hooded knifeman in random attack after car crash in busy street
The attacker only stopped when he was tasered
THIS is the horror moment a police officer is stabbed in the neck while responding to a routine traffic crash.
Jacob Brown, 27, is seen lunging at three officers in Whalley Range, Manchester, in an unprovoked attack.

He strikes one officer - PS Ansell - in the neck and lunges the knife at his colleagues PS Foster and PC Wolstencroft in the terrifying attack.
Brown can be seen on bodycam footage approaching the officers despite not being involved in the crash incident.
Dressed all in black with a hood tightly fastened, he is seen walking down the street near his home before jumping into the road to attack the officers from behind.
PS Foster was struck to the head several times as Brown aimed a knife at his neck.
PS Ansell jumped to the defence of his fellow Sergeant before being stabbed in the neck himself, which narrowly missed his vital arteries.
In the dramatic video, shared by the force, he only stops the attack when he is tasered by PC Wolsencroft.
As PS Ansell walked back over to his police car, he noticed he was bleeding and had a serious stab wound to his neck.
PS Foster, who he had bravely stopped from being attacked moments earlier, placed his hand over the wound before he was rushed to hospital by paramedics.

Greater Manchester Police said it was one of 75 incidents in the last tax year where its officers sustained physical injuries from an assault on duty.
A spokesman said: "The actions of all three officers ultimately saved each other and meant no members of the public suffered any injuries."
All three officers won an award at this year's Police Federation National Bravery Awards for their actions last July.
Superintendent Marcus Noden of GMP's Trafford district said: "The number of assaults on officers is at an unprecedented level, and is wholly unacceptable.
"Our uniformed officers are amongst our front line of policing, those who respond to calls, make arrests, protect victims.
"We absolutely will not tolerate assaults on our officers.
"We have in this case, and many others, taken robust action against those who have committed these offences, and that approach will continue.
"We'll also continue to support the officers that are impacted.
"I sincerely hope that we never see a case like this again, but I praise our three officers who have demonstrated dedication, resilience, and courage in the face of danger.
"They thoroughly deserve the recognition they have received."
While in custody after his arrest, Brown stabbed a staff member during an induction at HMP Liverpool last August.
He armed himself with a sharp object before attacking the victim, a male in his 50s, causing cuts to his ear and head.
The following month he attacked a prison guard and stabbed him in the neck with a sharp object.
Brown was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order in April after pleading guilty to one count of attempted murder and three counts of wounding with intent.

Her Honour Judge Baxter noted Brown's decision to plead guilty as "sensible given the level of injuries".
He was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order until he is deemed safe and stable for release.
