We’ve lived in L.A. for almost 5 yrs and since moving here, visiting all of the nostalgia has been on my bucket list, especially restaurants. During Covid and while binging This Is Us, the episode where Rebecca was telling Kevin about she and Jack’s road trip to L.A. when they tried to find Joni Mitchell’s house and visited Art’s Deli on Ventura Blvd, bells went off bc I remembered passing Art’s hundreds of times since we live in Studio City. Well today was the day! I had pastrami on rye w/sweet potato fries and my husband had the corn beef sandwich....OMG so good and so filling!! Honestly, our lunch was pricey...we usually don’t pay that much unless there’s wine & spirits involved, however, we both left stuffed and with doggy bags so dinner is already taken care of. On an extra special note, a super nice lady came to our table to make sure everything was to our liking and then introduced herself as Sandy, widow of THE Art of Art’s Deli. She was so lovely, I wished I’d brought my resume with me bc I’d actually love to work for her as a personal asst or estate mgr. Seriously, it was a delightful experience and I will highly recommend Art’s Diner to everyone!!

I ordered a Deli Platter ($200) for my birthday in late August for 10 people. This is not the first time I have ordered a platter there before. When I went to pick it up, they only gave me one loaf of Rye Bread for ten people. I asked for another loaf and the owner reluctantly after some nudging gave me ten slices from another pack and did not give me a whole extra loaf. I told him "come on" its my birthday and thought he was very cheap about it as I have been a long time customer. I do admit that they do have the best deli food but it pissed me off and I have not been back since.

Art’s Deli is a local institution. Art is gone but the deli lives on and recently celebrated its 62nd birthday. The food is what you would expect for a delicatessen. Tasty corn beef, lovely matzoh ball soup, and surprisingly good coleslaw to name a few. The prices however are on the spendy side. I had a beer with the half sandwich and a cup of soup combo which set me back 30 bucks. On the positive side, the portions were beyond adequate and I even had leftovers to take home. If you don’t mind paying a premium for the ambience an experience of a traditional deli (of which there aren’t many left in the area) then visit Art’s and enjoy the fare.

It had been a while since I’d been here. It was great to have the option to sit outdoors. Several tables outside. Of course there was plenty of inside seats too. I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. The portions were significant. Unfortunately my eggs when brought out were cool. The bacon was ok. The food was very fair. Service was attentive. For the price, it should be better.

The deli has not changed, but the food and prices have. The corned beef was lean and tasteless, and the price was outrageous. Come on, $24 for half a sandwich and a cup (or bowl) of soup! $9 for a potato knish? The food and prices cause me to avoid Arts in the future.

I had my first sandwich from Art’s Delicatessen more than 50 years ago and they are still my all time favorite deli. Today I live 40 miles away but whenever I’m in Studio City, I always make a point to stop by and enjoy a delicious work of Art!

Old school deli with great servers, a huge menu, giant portions of excellent food, but pricey. This restaurant has been around for many years and is noted for giant sandwiches and well prepared deli foods.

Have by now been to Art’s a half dozen times and each visit has been a delight. Yesterday, my wife picked up takeout from Art’s for the first time and my Art & Sandy’s Special was stacked with a gigantic stack of paper thin sliced beef and pastrami plus Swiss Cheese on tasty pumpernickel. It was powerfully delicious as were the tangy Kosher dill pickles and crispy Cole Slaw. My wife had the beef brisket on egg bread. It was a feast that lasted two days and was prepared and packaged in less than 10 minutes. Can hardly wait for a return trip. Art’s Deli has been consistently terrific.

My favorite Jewish deli! Super tasty and hands down BEST black and white cookies! I literally stop for several every time I'm in town. Yummy pastrami! Friendly staff.

Upon returning to LA for a business trip I had to return to my former neighborhood deli for classic Jewish food. So happy that it is as good as ever and that some things surpass the test of time. Great pastrami on rye —lean—with a Kasha Knish. And a Dr Browns Cream Soda is par for the course. And for my Kentucky friend not familiar with Jewish food this was a special treat. She loved the whitefish salad appetizer (which is a meal onto itself) and a half order of potato Latkas. I can confirm that with some apple sauce and sour cream they were delicious. I don’t eat like this too often so it’s got to be good and Art’s made my return visit extra special. Not too many authentic Jewish Dels around anymore so thank you Art’s for keeping it all going strong. Eat!!

This place takes me back to my childhood and so I typically order something I loved as a kid. In this case, had the lox and cream cheese sandwich which is typically served on a bagel but which I enjoyed on toasted rye. It was just as I remembered it and that was the point of my visit.

We have lived in Los Angeles for a long time and had never tried Arts. We finally visited a few weeks ago and we have already gone back. The menu is huge, as are the sandwiches. My husband loves the Monte Cristo sandwich. I love the soups. Don't let the sandwich prices frighten you away. Each sandwich is large enough to be two meals or a meal for two. Also, service is excellent!

We went to Art's for lunch. We had the light version and boy it was more than enough. I was very tasty, staff helpful and attentive.
