CHAPTER 12: HOME

“I wanna be the only one for miles and miles—except for maybe you, and your simple smile…”

They’ve been stuck in traffic for hours.

The problem with deciding to spend Labor Day weekend visiting Blake’s family in Kuo Kuana is that half of Vale seems to be heading in the same direction—if not to Menagerie, then to any one of the dozens of beach towns along the way. It’s been bumper-to-bumper ever since they left the city, and Yang is lowkey suffering. Maybe it was a bad idea to let Blake use a paddle on her for the first time last night, ensuring her butt would be sore before they even got in the car… but considering the rest of the weekend is going to be nothing but quiet, daring touches under the blankets as they try not to giggle and give themselves away in Blake’s childhood bedroom, Yang had been eager to do a scene that would generate memories (and okay yeah, maybe welts) that would last them the next few days.

And besides. Even if traffic’s a pain in the ass, and there’s also… literally, pain in her ass… it’s hard to be too mad about it. Not when Blake’s grinning like a goof in the passenger seat, singing along to her pop county playlist with abandon and gender-bending the lyrics just to make Yang blush.

Here's an idea: If your bitch ass tries to shit-talk a 9 volume well built mature LGBT+ canon relationship; try to push bullshit writing concepts like "blushing has to be done to show romantic attraction" (cause no the fuck it doesn't at all, in fact that's the laziest, immature-leaned, and shallowest shit around); spout provably WRONG info; and even take shots at the writers of said pair = Your ass doesn't get to try to pull an "I'm not looking for an argument" card. Acknowledge that you're a fucking dumbass and fully fuck the hell off to your own circle jerk space.

One thing that doesn't get mentioned about the bees allusions is that Blake's name means 'beautiful black women' and yangs name means 'sunny little dragon' (a mythological beast) their names are literally beauty and the beast

The amount of care that CRWBY put into Blake and Yang's relationship is amazing.

I really don't get people who think that their romance was something decided on at a whim.

Their parallels, allusions, and complementary themes are baked in to RWBY's DNA
