Sirius: Look! It’s my teeny weeny brother!

Remus: Are we looking at James or Regulus?

Sirius: Regulus is teeny weeny, James is ickle wickle.

Remus: Well, ‘teeny weeny’ looks like he wants to kill you, and ‘ickle wickle’ looks like he’ll help.

Sirius: They’re bonding!

The final of the triolgy, united in death for one last dance

“And i look upon time as no more than an idea,

And i consider enternity as another possibility,

And i think of each life as a flower, as common as a field daisy, and as singular,

And each name a comfortable music in the mouth,

Tending,as all music does, towards silence,

Each body a lion of courage, and something precious to the earth.

When it’s over, I want to say all my life

I was a bride married to amazement.

I was a bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

When it’s over, id dont wan to wonder

If i have made of my life something particular, and real.

I dont want to find myself signing and frightened,

Or full of argument.

I dont want to end up simply having visited this world”

Wolfstar Micro Fic - @wolfstarmicrofic prompt: silver - 285 words

Sirius takes Remus’ hand with gentle care, delicately massaging ointment into the raw skin, careful not to aggravate it any further.  “I’m sorry,” he says quietly. He can’t meet Remus’ eye, keeps his gaze focused on his work.

Remus squeezes Sirius’ thigh with his free hand. “Stop apologising, it’s fine.”

Sirius’ face twists. It’s not fine. It’s anything but fine. It was such a stupid mistake, one lapse of forgetfulness when he’s normally so good at remembering to check his jewellery.

His fingers brush the inflamed wound a little too hard and Remus flinches, a hiss of pain and Sirius jolts, pulling away. He chokes out another apology, words catching. His throat is tight, eyes burning, because he keeps hurting Remus, keeps fucking up and all he wants to do is help but he can’t get it right, just seems to make things worse.

“It’s fine, Pads, I’m okay. Just a little silver-burn” Remus is saying, cupping Sirius’ cheek with his good hand, anchoring his spiralling thoughts.  “Can you look at me?” he asks quietly, pleading. “Please?” And Sirius can’t help but do as is asked, to glance up to meet hazel for the first time since the earlier incident.

“I’m okay,” Remus repeats, voice as steady and resolute as his gaze.

“I keep hurting you,” is all Sirius can manage pathetically.

Remus smiles, eyes crinkling with sympathy even though Sirius should be the one doing the comforting. “These things happen.”

“I should’ve known better.”

Remus pulls him closer, presses their foreheads together. Sirius can feel his breath on his lips when he talks.  “It was an accident, and you’re looking after now aren’t you? No one takes care of me the way you do.”

defeat - @wolfstarmicrofic - word count: 191

"Remus? Will you look over my essay?" James asked, rubbing his tired eyes with his hands, wishing he could just sleep."

"Prongs, I have five more pages to write on Bezoars!" Remus complained, stretching and wiping at the ink smudges on his face. "Why don't you aske Regulus? He's smart!"

But James wouldn't give up that easily. He threw Sirius a helpless look, and Sirius grinned, standing and moving behind Remus. "Mooooony?" he cooed, guiding his hands down Remus's chest and whispering in his ear. "Just take five minutes to look over Prong's essay? After mine, of course. I'll make sure it's worth your while." His voice was almost a purr by that point, and he pressed small kisses into the hinge of Remus's jaw.

The other boy was bright red. "You don't play fair," Remus groaned in defeat, biting at his lip. But Sirius just continued his assault on Remus's neck, letting out a small groan. "I-fine! Both of you give them here before I change my mind."

And James, pumping his fist in the air in triumph, passed his paper over. "Thanks for letting me borrow your boyfriend, Pads!"

speaking of olympics au… remus wouldn’t be there as an athlete he’d be there as a staff member like a physiotherapist or something. the boy hates sports in every universe (but his long ass fingers work like magic on sore muscles… wink wink)
