just found your blog and I am LOVING it!! I was wondering, what is the smallest species of sturgeon? I always thought of them as Very Large Fish but I’m realizing now that some are not very large at all!

Its true - not all sturgeons are giants! There are a few species that don’t grow very big at all. In fact, the three members of genus Pseudoscaphirhynchus do not grow larger than ~30 inches. The smallest species of sturgeon is Pseudoscaphirhynchus hermanni, the dwarf sturgeon. These babies don’t get longer than 10 inches.
