That was fast: Netflix has secured the rights to Maniac.

Less than a week after news broke that producers Paramount TV and Anonymous Content were shopping around Maniac, a Cary Fukunaga-directed comedy series that would reuniteSuperbad costars Jonah Hill and Emma Stone, Deadline reports that Netflix has already made a deal to buy the show.

The streaming service is working out the details on a straight-to-series 10-episode order for the show.

Maniac will star Hill as a man confined to a mental institution who escapes his situation with a rich fantasy life. Stone will play a fellow patient. Fukunaga, who directed Season 1 of True Detective and the Netflix original film Beasts of No Nation, will direct all the episodes. It's based a 2014 Norwegian series.
