Preacher Exclusive: Jesse Bargains with Gran'ma for Tulip's Soul

How far is he willing to go to bring her back?

"Everything has a price," Jesse's (Dominic Cooper) sinister grandmother Marie L'Angell (Betty Buckley) told him at the end of Preacher's second season when he asked her to revive a dead chicken. In the finale, he again shows up on her plantation but this time, with Tulip's (Ruth Negga) fresh corpse. And it looks like Jesse is willing to do whatever it takes in order to resurrect his friend, even if that means turning to the same woman who tortured him as a child by locking him in a coffin after his father's death.

In this exclusive sneak peek at Season 3, Jesse pleads with Gran'ma to resurrect his childhood friend. She might be evil but she's also his best bet at saving Tulip. "I'll do anything. Just bring her back," he says in the video.

The finale saw Tulip die after being shot by Featherstone (Julie Ann Emery) when she uncovered the Grail operative's true identity. But rather than allow Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) to turn her into a vampire, Jesse let her pass and opted for another way to bring her back. And while turning to his malevolent grandmother for help seems like a good idea, she doesn't work for free so resurrecting Tulip will come at a great cost.

"You know what I want," she tells him. "Or maybe she's not worth it."

The question is, can Jesse go through with it? Will he make a grave sacrifice in order to bring his friend back from the dead? And what exactly is the cost for reviving Tulip?

Find out when Preacher returns for Season 3 on Sunday, June 24 at 10/9c on AMC.
