Taken is being taken... to the weekend! And to the scrap heap, basically.

The NBC action series based on the film franchise starring Liam Neeson is being moved from Friday nights to Saturday nights, which is another way of saying it won't be back for another season. The remaining episodes of Season 2 will move to Saturdays at 8/7c starting May 26.

In the TV prequel, Vikingsbeefcake Clive Standen starred as a younger version of the character played by Neeson. The show told the story of how Bryan Mills started work as a special intelligence operative before he had a daughter who kept getting kidnapped.

Which Shows Are in Danger of Cancellation?

Following a moderately successful debut season that did just enough to get renewed, the show was rebooted with a new showrunner and several new cast members. But the ratings kept sliding and NBC made the decision to pull it from its mid-week schedule.
