The drama series' third season opens with a New Year celebration, which marks a fresh start for Jack (Daniel Lissing) and Elizabeth (Erin Krakow). Soon after, Hope Valley is shaken by a revelation: Frank's (Mark Humphrey) past as a conman finally catches up with him and he will have to regain the trust of the townfolk. Fortunately for him, Abigail (Lori Laughlin) decides to help him out, developing feelings for him in the process. As the season goes on, Jack and Elizabeth's relationship falters when he gets closer to someone else, Abigail tries to assist an unfortunate community, and a calamity threatens the whole town.
