'Mrs. Doubtfire' at 25: The cast then and now; Remembering Robin Williams

Mara Wilson played Natalie Hillard, the youngest of the three kids in "Mrs. Doubtfire." Three years later, she starred in "Matilda."

Wilson (center) has mostly retired from the big screen since her days as a child actor. These days, she's a writer: her 2009 play, Sheeple, was produced for the New York International Fringe Fest. In 2016, she wrote a memoir: "Where Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame." This photo was taken in 2013, when Wilson reunited with her "Matilda" co-stars, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, on the "Today" show.

Matthew Lawrence (right) played Natalie's brother, Chris. Two years later, he starred in the TV show "Brotherly Love" with his real life brothers, Joey (left) and Andrew (center).

After "Brotherly Love," Lawrence joined the cast of "Boy Meets World" as Jack Hunter (and later reprised his role in the spinoff, "Girl Meets World"). He reunited with members of the original cast in 2013 (pictured here second from left). In 2017, he started a band with his brothers called Still Three.

Lisa Jakub (second from left) played the oldest of the three children, Lydia. She has since quit acting and works as a writer and yoga teacher. In 2015, Jakub published her first book, "You Look Like That Girl: A Child Actor Stops Pretending and Finally Grows Up.

Harvey Fierstein (left) played Frank, the makeup artist who helped Daniel (Robin Williams) transform into Mrs. Doubtfire.

Fierstein (left) is best known as a Broadway man, both backstage and in the spotlight. In 2003, he won the Tony Award for best performance by a leading actor in a musical his portrayal of Edna Turnblad in "Hairspray".

In keeping with his Broadway career, Fierstein also wrote scripts for the musicals "La Cage aux Folles," "Newsies" and "Kinky Boots.

Sally Field (left) played the kids' mother, Miranda.

Immediately following "Mrs. Doubtfire," Field was featured in "Forrest Gump. In this photo, she poses with an Emmy Award in 2007, which she won for starring in "Brothers & Sisters.

In total, she has won two Oscars, three Emmys, two Golden Globes and has been nominated for a Tony Award. She's pictured here in 2018 promoting her book, "In Pieces."

Pierce Brosnan played Miranda's new boyfriend, Stu.

Just two years later, he appeared as the new James Bond in "GoldenEye".

Brosnan poses here at the world premiere of "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again." He reprised his role from the original "Mamma Mia!" playing Sam, one of the three men who could be the father of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried).

Robin Williams starred as Daniel Hillard, who posed as Mrs. Doubtfire, a British nanny, to spend more time with his children.

Williams also leant his iconic voice to play Genie in Disney's "Aladdin." In 1998, he nabbed his first and only Oscar Award for "Good Will Hunting." He later played Teddy Roosevelt (right) in the "Night at the Museum" trilogy.
