Style diary: Kristen Stewart

As 'The Twilight Saga' began counting down to its inevitable end, Stewart kicked off her fashionable fall in Paris at the Balmain Spring / Summer 2013 show on Sept. 27. The street style mimicked her palette this fall: black, white and an occasional pop of vibrant color.

Fast forward a month, and Stewart begins channeling Bella's bold new attitude, wearing a short black and white Louis Vuitton romper during photo call in Tokyo while promoting 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' on Oct. 24.

On Nov. 1, Stewart went for a classy gray Bec and Bridge sheath while teaming up with Simon Baker to announce Jodie Foster (Stewart's 'Safe Room' co-star) as the next recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award.

Stewart employed the energy of the undead while powering through the following weekend. After a full day of press at the 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' press junket, the actress switched gears and changed into a Balenciaga cropped white cut-out top and black trousers for her 'On The Road' premiere, held across town at the 2012 AFI Fest presented by Audi. Note one important accessory: a square pendant on a slim long chain, which fans on Twitter speculate is a gift from Pattinson. (Stewart pairs it with most of her outfits.)

As she is wont to do, at the 'On the Road' after-party at the Roosevelt hotel, Stewart ditched her fancy duds for her favorite Balenciaga leather jacket, jeans and flats. The actress was in good spirits, hanging out with her co-stars Amy Adams and Garrett Hedlund, along with Robert Pattinson, who joined her for the festivities.

For her 'Tonight Show' appearance, Stewart wore a colorful Peter Pilotto dress and Christian Louboutin heels, and talked about 'Breaking Dawn Part 2's' twist ending, which deviates slightly from the Stephanie Meyer book. "It is so shocking, to be honest," said Stewart. "I couldn't be more inside of it. I couldn't be more in the loop. Every time I see it or even think about it, I get giddy. It freaks me out."

The day after Election Day, Stewart took a trip to 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon', donning an A.L.C. LBD and black Jimmy Choo 'Anouk' pumps. "I had an absentee ballot, I had my buddy drop it off," in L.A., she told Fallon. She also shared something creepy: The baby doll that stood in for baby Renesmee "closely resembled Chucky."

Fallon got a big grin out of Stewart when he challenged her to an impromtu drinking game of giant quarters. The actress gamely ditched her Choos. "I desperately want to beat you," she told Fallon. (He won 2:1, both drank.)

Every press tour has its bumps. Outfitted in a black and cream Belstaff Bowden leather jacket, Hudson jeans and black patent Pedro Garcia heels, Stewart was none too pleased when Savannah Guthrie flat-out asked if she and Robert Pattinson were back together during an appearance on the 'Today' show on Nov 7. "Funny you mention that," she answered. "I'm just going to let people watch whatever little movie they think our lives are and go for it. Keep them guessing, I always say."

Her visit to 'Live with Kelly and Michael' was far sunnier, aided by a bright piped orange Victoria Beckham sheath and talk of her newly adopted pup, Bernie. At the animal shelter, "she was very emotionally manipulative. She really milked it," said Stewart. Then I got her home and she was like, 'I have arrived.' "

On Nov. 8., Stewart walked one last carpet for her Jack Kerouac indie, 'On the Road.' The actress fought New York's wintry temperatures in a black leather A.L.C. dress with three-quarter-length sleeves and graphic Barbara Bui heels. Futuristic black eye shadow completed the look.

Cue the major fashion moments. At the Los Angeles premiere on Nov. 12, Stewart began Twilight's official farewell tour with what Twihards might argue is her best accessory: Pattinson. But how does Stewart describe her red carpet style? (Hint: She doesn't.) "Let me analyze my fashion as a whole," she joked with reporters at the premiere. "I don't know. But I do like this (Zuhair Murad dress). So I feel all right."

Stewart went back to Zuhair Murad's closet a second time for the film's London premiere. This time she selected an equally sheer black lace-embroidered jumpsuit.

The designer jumpsuit featured a keyhole back and saucy detailing across the derriere.

One day later, Stewart wore a mixed material Julien MacDonald dress while posing with the bleary-eyed cast and director Bill Condon in Madrid. The non-stop globe-trotting schedule is "kind of exhausting," Pattinson admitted to reporters at the L.A. premiere. "But it's nice to see that everyone's kind of really sweet about it."

Later that night, Stewart got leggy at the Madrid premiere in an eye-popping structured Christian Dior yellow dress and punk black and white check Barbara Bui stilettos.

And then, it was over. For Twilight's very last stop in chilly Berlin, Stewart toasted the franchise that made her a household name in a glamorous glittering gold Elie Saab dress and Christian Louboutin heels.
