LEED certified buildings

Nationals Park, home to the Washington Nationals, is among a dozen professional and college stadiums and arenas to get LEED certification. The stadium lights have reflectors that reduce light pollution. Most paper goods are from recycled materials.

The 1.5-million-square-foot David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh was one of the first major buildings to get LEED certification, earning LEED Gold in late 2003.

The San Quentin State Prison health services building, near San Francisco, received LEED Gold certification in September 2010.
It earned LEED points for minimizing interior contaminants as well as energy and water use.

The Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas received a $34 million property-tax break for its LEED Gold certification.

Harvard Divinity School's Rockefeller Hall is among roughly 40 buildings at the university that are LEED-certified. Harvard's efforts give Cambridge, Mass., the highest concentration of LEED buildings of any city in the USA.

The offices of the Sierra Club in Washington, D.C., are LEED-certified, but not the office building in which they are housed.

LEED-certified Brewery Vivant in Grand Radids, Mich., features pub tables made of recycled barn wood and old fruit crates. A repurposed funeral home and chapel complex, it was built around 1915.

The University of Florida lacrosse locker room facility  is among roughly 20 buildings at the Gainesville, Fla., campus that are LEED-certified. The locker room includes features aimed at cutting energy use by 35%.

A Starbucks in New York's SoHo neighborhood is among hundreds of
outlets for various retail chains that have received LEED certification under a program that enables mass certification of similar buildings based on a prototype. Starbucks helped develop the "LEED Volume" program.

The Gettysburg National Park Museum and Visitor Center received LEED certification for features aimed at reducing energy use by roughly half and water use by 30%.
