Sarasota's Project Pride SRQ was again part of history as the country's largest progressive pride flag (700 feet long) was marched to the middle of John Ringling Causeway Bridge, Saturday morning, June 29, 2024. This powerful event was response to recent restrictions from Governor Ron DeSantis that prevented the bridge from being lit in rainbow colors for Pride Month, as well as in distinctive colors for Juneteenth, National Gun Violence Awareness Day, and other important causes.
