Deal watch: Princess Cruises sets Thanksgiving sale

Princess Cruises plans a Thanksgiving week sale start Wednesday that will bring discounts of up to $1,000 per cabin.

The six-day offer will be good on more than 200 sailings to the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii and the Panama Canal that depart from January through July 2013.

In addition to discounted fares, the promotion will bring customers who book a balcony cabin or suite a credit of $50 per cabin on cruises of up to nine days in length ($100 for sailings of 10 days or longer). Passengers booking windowless "interior" cabins and ocean-view cabins will get a credit of $25 on cruises of up to nine days in length ($50 for sailings of 10 days or longer).

Sample fares:

- Seven-night Caribbean cruises starting at $769 per person for a balcony cabin (was $1,269); $569 for an interior cabin (was $819).

- Seven-night Alaska cruises starting at $1,154 per person for a balcony cabin (was $1,354); $854 for an interior cabin (was $954).

- Fourteen-night Hawaii cruises starting at $1,690 per person for a balcony cabin (was $2,690); $1,090 for an interior cabin (was $1,790).

- Fourteen-night Panama Canal cruises starting at $2,199 per person for a balcony cabin (was $3,149); $1,499 for an interior cbain (was $2,399).

The sale runs from 12:01 a.m. PDT Nov. 21 through 11:59 p.m. PDT Nov. 26 and is available to residents of the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
