Norwegian Cruise Line this week opened bookings for the summer of 2014, when it will have one more ship than in 2013.

The line says the 4,000-passenger Norwegian Getaway, debuting in early 2014, will join the Norwegian Sky in sailing out of Miami.

As in past years, Norwegian also will have four ships in Europe and three in Alaska. Two Norwegian ships will sail to Bermuda from New York and Boston.

Also staying put for the summer of 2014 is Norwegian's Pride of America, which will continue to sail in Hawaii. The Norwegian Gem will sail out of New York to Florida and the Bahamas.

Norwegian will operate 13 ships in all in 2014, up from 12 ships during the summer of 2013 and 11 ships this past summer.

Norwegian is expanding its capacity by more than 25% over the next two years with the addition of the 4,000-passenger Norwegian Breakaway in May 2013 and sister ship Norwegian Getaway in February 2014.
