Deal Watch: Norwegian offering an Epic cruise sale

Johanna Jainchill, special for USA TODAY
The Norwegian Epic arrives at the Port of Miami on July 7, 2010.

If your 2013 resolution is to finally sail on the 4,100-passenger Norwegian Epic, a three-day sale launching today may make it more enticing.

Norwegian Cruise Line's "Norwegian Epic Bonus Days" sale begins this Sunday, Dec. 30, and gives customers the opportunity to get $100 in onboard credit, regardless of stateroom category, when they book any Norwegian Epic cruise of six days or longer.

The credit can be used towards any onboard purchases including shore excursions, treatments in the ship's Mandara spa, or dinner in any of the Epic's specialty restaurants. Bookings must be made by the end of Jan. 1, 2013.

Additional savings such as up to $1,000 in air credits are also available on select sailings, and for children ages 17 and younger, Norwegian is also offering 50% off the cruise fare on any of the Epic's Europe itineraries when traveling with two adults in the same stateroom.

The Epic sails in both the Caribbean and Europe, offering seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruise from Miami and five- to seven-day sailings from Barcelona during the summer.
