Drive On: James Bond villain regrets killing a car

Bryan Alexander, USA TODAY
Javier Bardem appears in a scene from the motion picture "Skyfall."

For those of you who have not seen the new James Bond movie, Skyfall, be aware we're about to give away some of the plot.

Spoiler alerts aside, Javier Bardem does some nasty things as the villain Silva in Skyfall. Let's see. He shoots his girlfriend with a pistol, dares to touch James Bond's chest, derails an underground train. No big deal for the Spanish actor on track to be one of the best Bond villains ever.

All those evil acts pale to one other. He regrets having to shoot up James Bond's classic Aston Martin. To shreds.

"Do I feel guilty?" he laughs. "Kind of, yes."

He admits when he first visualized the scene, the idea of "Oh-my-god-please" no went through his head. Now he just thinks about going back to England, where Bond and that car are legendary.

"I think I cannot go back to England anymore,"says Bardem. "My photo is going to be at immigration saying, "This is the guy who blew up James Bond's Aston Martin."
