Taylor Kinney: 'I'm in a relationship' with Lady Gaga

Taylor Kinney's got it all at the moment.

His blazing hot new television drama, Chicago Fire (helmed by Dick Wolf), launches in two weeks. His admirable physique is due mostly to "genetics," he shares. And his relationship with Lady Gaga? That's "great."

The actor opened up — a bit — about his relationship with the pop star on Friday. The two met shooting her music video, You and I, in 2011. "I don't think I've ever said anything publicly up till now," he said. "But I'm happy. I'm in a relationship, and I'm happy. Everything is great."

He's also psyched about Chicago Fire, which debuts on NBC on Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. ET. In it, he plays "a beer-drinking, blue collar, hard-working guy" fighting the most dangerous fires on the elite rescue squad at Chicago Firehouse 51. Having moved to Chicago for the series, the surfing fan has been checking out the local restaurant scene in his spare time (and with, according to the Chicago Tribune, Lady Gaga), and can list off his favorite pizza (thin crust at Pizano's) and Top Chef foodie spots.

"I got really into watching Top Chef for awhile and there's a couple of chefs from Top Chef Masters that have a place here," he says. But to keep his firefighter shape, "I eat somewhat healthy most of the time," he shares, but will indulge "like anybody else." At the gym, "I'll do some cardio stuff to sweat and get my blood going and then just some high-rep/low-weight dumbbell stuff. I don't have a certain regimen. If I can stay busy and put headphones on and hit it hard for 45 minutes that's all I'm looking to do."
