Did Foo Fighters just go on hiatus?

So are the Foo Fighters going the way of LMFAO? Taking a break?

Back in August, Dave Grohl, the band's frontman, told a crowd at England's Reading Festival in Leeds that it was a special night, marking the end of the band's tour in support of their latest album Wasting Light.

"Well, well, well," he said, according to NME. "The (effing) Reading festival. You guys realize we've got a lot of songs to play. It's the last show of the tour and it's the last show for a long time.''

On Saturday, the Foo Fighters performed in New York's Central Park as part of the Global Citizen Festival, a free show put on by the Global Poverty Project.

"Without making a big deal out of it, we don't have any shows after this," Grohl said. "This is it, man. Honestly I don't know when we're gonna do it again ... and this is the perfect place to do it."
