Mario Lopez to star in his own TLC wedding special

Following in the footsteps of Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, whose TV wedding aired last year on TLC, and Bachelorette stars Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum, who will wed in an ABC special in December, Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza will also televise their wedding.

TLC announced today that the Mario Lopez & Courtney Mazza Wedding Special will air as a two-hour "event" on the channel on Dec. 8 at 8 p.m.

The network will follow Lopez, 39, who was just announced as the new X Factor co-host with Khloe Kardashian, and Mazza as they navigate the planning process, find the perfect dress, and celebrate their love at their wedding with family and friends.

"Courtney and I already feel incredibly blessed to have found each other, and thank God for our beautiful daughter Gia. Our family is looking forward to celebrating our wedding later this year, and know that TLC is the perfect partner to help us share our love and our special day with the rest of the world," said Lopez in the release.
