Lindsay Lohan battles dad over intervention plan

USATODAY
Lindsay Lohan is seen in the Meat Packing District at Streets of Manhattan on Oct. 6.

Is Lindsay Lohan having another meltdown? Or is this more family drama?

Or both?

TMZ is reporting that Lindsay's dad, Michael Lohan, orchestrated an intervention that included Lindsay's entertainment lawyer, Dave Feldman; her manager, Evan Hainey; and her criminal lawyer, Shawn Holley. It was set for Friday.

According to e-mails TMZ claims to have, Michael Lohan told the team Lindsay, 26, was "drinking between a bottle and a bottle and a half of vodka per day." He added that he has "seen the bottles." He also said she is "AGAIN, taking pills to keep her up and to sleep (adderall)!!"

TMZ reports that when her dad showed up on Friday for the intervention, Lindsay would not come to the door and police were called for trespassing. Michael Lohan told TMZ he is concerned that his daughter is hanging around with "a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts" and he wants to "get her some help."

Meanwhile, TMZ also reports that a source close to Lindsay (who has done two stints in rehab) says she is clean and sober and doesn't need rehab —- that this is a ploy by her dad to get money —- and she plans to fly to New York this week to meet with mom Dina and other family members to get a restraining order against Michael.

When we asked Lindsay's rep, Steve Honig, about the saga, he said today, "We're not commenting on this."
