Disguised Adam Levine hands out parking tickets that are actually Maroon 5 concert tickets

Adam Levine has a new title: The Meter Man.

As part of a segment for "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" this week, the Maroon 5 frontman and former judge of "The Voice" disguised himself as an authority official to prank drivers with parking tickets.

The tickets, however, were really concert tickets to his band's latest tour announced earlier this week.

In the clip, we see Levine heckling Los Angeles drivers.

"I know this is crazy, but you have 30 seconds to actually put the money in the meter," he says into the window of a young man's car.

"30 seconds, I've gotta be a stickler, sorry it's a crowded street," he says before counting down from 10. When the driver exits his vehicle, Levine dubs him "too late."

The driver then proceeds to film Levine as evidence that the ticket Levine was currently writing up was uncalled for, showing the meter still shows green.

"You can report it if you like," Levine tells him. "It's not going to make a difference really."

Later Levine gives up the gig, passing the driver the concert tickets. The driver looks confused before realizing what had just happened, then he starts to smile at Levine.

Another driver wasn't fooled.

Levine told her he was writing up a ticket because she "came in a little to fast" into her parking spot.

She begins arguing with Levine until she realizes who he actually is.

"Oh, wait a second, no no no no," she says, laughing. "I know who you are."

"Take the tickets and get out of here," Levine says, displeased that his cover was blown so fast.

Maroon 5's 2020 North American tour comes after the release of the band's song "Memories," which dropped in September. 

The band will be touring with Leon Bridges, who will appear on all stadium dates, and Meghan Trainor, who will appear on all show dates.

Tickets will be available to the public Dec. 13. American Express Card Members can purchase tickets in advance starting Dec. 9 in select markets.

The tour kicks off May 30 in Chula Vista, California.
