In 1996, Donald Trump was a billionaire, not a millionaire and his assistant made sure to get that point across to "The Nanny" showrunners.

During an appearance on Tuesday's episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers," Fran Drescher recalled when Trump made a cameo on "The Nanny" in an episode titled "The Rosie Show."

Meyers showed the "Indebted" actress a photo of her standing in between Trump and Charles Shaughnessy (Mr. Sheffield) to which she noted there was an "interesting story" behind that scene.

"I sit in this scene and I said to the two of them "Oh, all you millionaires are alike,'" Drescher explained. "Peter (Jacobson), now my gay ex-husband, got a note from his assistant, Donald Trump's assistant that said, ‘Mr. Trump is not a millionaire. He's a billionaire, and we'd like you to change the script."

Drescher felt the change from millionaire to billionaire would be unnatural for her character.

"I thought that seemed too on the money because I know Fran would have described anyone who was rich as a millionaire, but to say billionaire seems like a specific choice," the comedian said. " So we asked them if it would be OK if we wrote zillionaire, and he said that was fine."

Drescher said her ex-husband had a feeling he should keep that note and he currently has it framed in his office.

This isn't the first time one of Trump's old cameos became a talking point.

Last year, a Canadian broadcaster CBC came under fire when Twitter users noticed Trump's cameo was cut from its airing of "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York."

The edit sparked both praise and outrage on Twitter from users who perceived it as politically charged. The hashtag #DefundCBC trended on Twitter.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. confirmed the scene was edited out but said the cut was made before Trump became president.

Trump tweeted that "the movie will never be the same" without his appearance. He added in parentheses: "just kidding."
