Hilary Swank's twins will be first children with husband Phillip Schneider
Swank and husband Phillip Schneider married in 2018, and the twins will be their first children together.
Their secret wedding in the redwoods of California was detailed in Vogue.
After two years of dating, Swank met Schneider at the altar wearing an ethereal Elie Saab couture wedding dress to add to the magical feel of the outdoor event. For a sweet treat after the celebration, the couple served a gluten-free and vegan cake.
âA brilliant combination of FedEx and creative planning by Marcela (Pezet) delivered our perfect chocolate cake just in time for our wedding,â Swank said.

The couple wed beneath a family of 800-year-old trees with best friend Mariska Hargitay serving as the maid of honor. After the reception, the newlyweds slipped into matching Levi's denim jackets embroidered with their joined nickname: Philary.
âEveryone was having so much fun and didnât want the party to end, so we actually had to start dancing to wireless headphones into the wee hours of the next day, so the distant neighbors wouldnât be kept up by the sound system,â Swank said.
The birth of her twins isn't the only arrival Swank is expecting.
Hilary Swank starring in ABC's 'Alaska Daily'
The actress is also the star of the upcoming drama series âAlaska Daily,â which debuts Thursday on ABC. It follows Swank as an investigative journalist named Eileen who gets lured to Alaska by a former colleague to look into an ongoing case of murdered Indigenous women.
During press interviews in New York, Swank said she looks forward to "seeing how much my bodyâs changed" on the show and that her pregnancy news may help explain some of her on-set behavior.
"You donât tell for 12 weeks for a certain reason. But then youâre growing and youâre using the bathroom a lot and youâre eating a lot," Swank said. "There was a moment just last week when my pants didnât fit anymore and I had to cut...my pants and then I put a jacket on over it, like I had to hide it, right? And the continuity (person) was like, âThat doesnât matchâ (a previous take.)"

Filming a TV show requires long hours â Swank said the "Alaska" cast works "15 hour days" â which makes her respectful of those who work while pregnant.
"Itâs definitely a different set of circumstances,â Swank said. âIâve never been pregnant before and being able to now have a deeper understanding of what women have gone through for so long, the nauseousness and the exhaustion, and especially in the first trimester."
