Kansas State's mascot delivers textbook tackle

![Kansas State's mascot, Willie the Wildcat, lowers the boom during Saturday's game against rival Kansas.](https://cdn.statically.io/img/www.usatoday.com/gcdn/media/USATODAY/gameon/2012/10/06/ksuhit-16_9.jpg?width=448&height=253&fit=crop&format=pjpg&auto=webp)
The perfect form tackle:
Stay low.
Keep your head up.
Straighten your back, bend at the knees. Keep your rear steady.
Push up with your legs (remember to keep your head up, don't dip) and go through the ball-carrier.
Talk with your pads.
Knock his socks off. (Or his mascot head, if applicable).
We knew that Willie the Wildcat could play a little guitar – I didn't know he could deliver such a blow, and in a rivalry game, no less.
At halftime, Kansas State leads rival Kansas, 21-14. The Wildcats also lead the mascot challenge, 1-0.
