Emotional military family reunion at South Carolina-Georgia game (VIDEO)

Sgt. 1st Class Scott Faile hugs his family after a surprise reunion prior to kickoff between South Carolina and Georgia.

I've been in a few dusty rooms before, but this room, the one I'm in right now, is really, really dusty.

Or did I just start chopping up some onions? I don't think I did.

Here's your video of the weekend in college football. It doesn't involve a touchdown, a sack, an interception, a reception or a last-second Hail Mary, among other noteworthy on-field events. It involves a military family, a recognition, a surprise and a reunion.

Setting the scene:

Just prior to kickoff of Saturday evening's game between South Carolina and Georgia, the Faile family, of Kershaw, S.C., was recognized by the University of South Carolina as the Columbia Metropolitan Airport "Military Family of the Game." Two surprises followed.

The first was a message from Sgt. 1st Class Scott Faile, the patriarch of the Faile family, broadcast over Williams-Brice Stadium's video board. At the end of his greeting, Faile, who is serving in Korea, tells his family, "I'll see you real, real soon."

How soon? Oh, in about 30 seconds. There's the second surprise, and it's a big one.

The video, including the taped greeting and reunion:

Sgt. 1st Class Faile made a score prediction, by the way. His guess? South Carolina 35, Georgia 7. Amazing.
