Report: Greg Schiano's son faces HS football suspension

USATODAY
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano.

Tampa Berkeley Prep linebacker Joe Schiano could be suspended for the season by the Florida High School Athletic Association.

Mike Camunas of Tampa Bay online reports that the son of Buccaneer's head coach Greg Schiano was ejected from a Sept. 28 game and now has faces being ruled off for the regular season.

Writes Camunas:

According to a FHSAA report obtained by The Tampa Tribune, Schiano was ejected from the Lennard game for using profanity at a referee. The conduct is considered a "Level 2'' unsportsmanlike conduct, which carries a six-week suspension. Schiano's ban started the day of the Lenard game and continues through Nov. 9, which is Berkeley's final game of the regular season.

Berkley Prep is 6-0 and the school has appealed the decision to the FHSAA.
