GameDay analyst rips Charlie Weis

Kansas Jayhawks head coach Charlie Weis reacts against the Northern Illinois Huskies during the second half at Huskie Stadium.

Charlie Weis isn't everybody's favorite person.

That statement is especially true for members of the media.

The Kansas coach recently caused a stir for getting upset at the KU student newspaper's front page graphic.

The former Notre Dame coach didn't make too many friends in South Bend, Ind., either.

ESPN's College GameDay was back in South Bend after a long absence, and ESPN analyst Chris Fowler took a quick jab at Weiss in explaining why the ESPN crew hadn't been to Notre Dame's campus in a while.

He said, "We were frankly 'uninvited' for a while, but that coach is gone."

Cool joke, Chris.

Weis became the Jayhawks' head coach last December after a one-year stint with Florida as an assistant and a year in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was 35-27 at Notre Dame for five seasons.

Kansas has gotten off to a rough start at 1-4 and was crushed by Kansas State last week 56-16.
