Alabama's LaMichael Fanning drives Missouri's Russell Hansbrough into the ground on a personal foul late in the Crimson Tide's 42-10 win Saturday.

Nick Saban teaches his Alabama defenders to be relentless. But not like this.

Crimson Tide defensive end LaMichael Fanning lifted Missouri running back Russel Hansbrough off the ground and onto his shoulder before slamming him head-first into the ground. In pro wrestling, the move is called a suplex. In college football, it's a personal foul.

Fanning is not listed on Alabama's two-deep. He's a 6-7, 297-pound redshirt freshman. Hansbrough is a 5-9, 185-pound true freshman listed as Missouri's third tailback.

The game was well in hand, with Alabama leading 42-10 (which ended up being the final score) and about two minutes left. There was no reason for this hit. Fortunately, Hansbrough did not appear to be hurt. Fanning stayed in the game.

As you can hear in the video, CBS broadcasters Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson expect a suspension. That will be up to Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive.

What would you do in Slive's shoes?
