Texas defensive tackle Brandon Moore carted off

DALLAS -- A Texas spokesman said defensive tackle Brandon Moore, who was immobilized and taken off the field on a cart after a collision, "has movement" and has been taken to an area hospital for precautionary reasons after complaining of neck pain.

Texas defensive tackle Brandon Moore was injured Saturday vs. Oklahoma and carted off the field.

The Cotton Bowl grew very quiet late in the third quarter when Moore went down. After Moore was motionless on the field for several minutes, medical personnel carefully strapped him to a board, placed him on a stretcher and onto a cart. His head and neck were carefully immobilized during the ride off the field and up the tunnel.

According to an ABC report, a Texas assistant told players Moore was able to move his arms.
