John Wall on Bon Jovi: 'Who's that?'

It's John Wall's life and until last night, he had just lived the 22 years while he's been alive existing in a world without the awareness of a Mr. Jon Bon Jovi.

During Wednesday night's NBA exhibition game in Toronto between the Wizards and Raptors, the arena's speakers played Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" and cut to an image of the rocker, who was sitting courtside. According to the Washington Post, Wall politely clapped from the bench.

Asked after the game about the musician, the Wizards point guard replied, "Who's that?" before calling himself, "a 90s baby. I never heard of him."

Depending on one's musical tastes, this is either unfathomable or reason for immense envy. Clearly Wall has never suffered through a night at a karaoke bar surrounded by multiple bachelorette parties or he'd certainly have a searing recollection of every detail of "Livin on a Prayer."

While it would be challenging to Dougie to "You Give Love a Bad Name," that didn't stop Czech teammate Jan Vesely from trying to give Wall an introduction to the king of 80s Jersey arena rock.

The paper reported that Vesely, only five months older than Wall, started to give Wall a quick bio and admitted that he owns a Bon Jovi CD, to which Wall replied, "Oh, he makes music? I didn't know."
