Rams player practices wearing Clay Matthews wig

USATODAY
Clay Matthews is a great player but the Green Bay Packers' linebacker is also known for his flowing locks. This week the Rams had a player wear a blond wig to be Matthews in practice.

St. Louis coach Jeff Fisher's advice to his players this week is to follow the blond.

Fisher has practice squad player Sammy Brown put on a wig to help his teammates get ready for Clay Matthews, the star linebacker for Green Bay.

When Fisher coached in Tennessee he would have someone wear a wig to emulate Troy Polamalu.

"When you're playing great players like Polamalu and Matthews, you like to know where they are on the field, and that helps," said the coach.

Brown said "that thing was burning my face" but defensive end Chris Long said "Clay's are a little bit more flowy, But I almost thought it was Clay Matthews."
