If you thought maybe just one weekend could go by without any sort of despicable soccer behavior, you were wrong.

The latest frenzy is a horrific instance of fan violence in Cyprus on Sunday, during a match between Anorthosis and Omonia Nicosia.

While an Anorthosis player was on the ground injured receiving medical treatment, a traveling Omonia Nicosia supporter fired a projectile onto the field, landing right in middle of the congregation.

Smoke poured out of the explosive before it detonated, sending players and staff scattering, while others hit the deck covering their ears and faces.

The match was haulted for about 10 minutes and fortunately nobody was seriously injured by the blast.
