Landry Fields says Jeremy Lin couch lost to history

USATODAY
New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin (17) and guard Landry Fields (2) hug at the end of a game last February.

Not since Indiana Jones turned back the Ark of the Covenant have we had an artifact like this go missing.

Landry Fieldstells Marc Berman of the New York Post that the couch Jeremy Lin slept on prior to his Feb. 4 bust-out game against New Jersey is now probably back in some warehouse.

"It was a rental couch," said Fields. "I had to give it back. I wonder if they even know (the history). It's probably boxed up."

Fields and Lin no longer share a cluhouse much less an apartment. Both were allowed to sign with other teams. Fields is in Toronto and Lin in Houston.

"The last two years with the Knicks, it's been such a rollercoaster pretty much. I'm used to that. if things were consistent, that would surprise me."

Berman writes that Fields and superstar Carmelo Anthony never got along but Fields says he doesn't think Anthony greased his way out of town.

""I never got that impression when I was there (but) I would value Carmelo's opinion myself if I was in the organization. He's a phenomenal player. Top 5 player in the league. I can't speak for him. If that was the case, he's definitely a guy to listen to,'' Fields said.
