Meyers Leonard turns into seven-foot superhero at Toys R Us

Portland Trail Blazers rookie Meyers Leonard spent the day before his pro debut acting like a kid.

Shoppers at a Portland area Toys R Us came upon a giant superhero roaming the aisles Tuesday. Well, several giant superheroes.

Meyers Leonard, the Trail Blazers' 7'1" inch rookie center from Illinois, tweeted out a photo of himself trying on six different masks at the store, including Captain America, Iron Man, Spiderman and Darth Vader.

Portland Trail Blazers rookie turned Toys R Us into his own Comic Con on Tuesday.

"On a mission to get one thing at Toys R Us and wind up trying on every mask in the store. Haha #KidInMe," he tweeted.

It's good to see the 20-year-old having a little bit of fun on the eve of his professional debut. As documented by the Big Ten Network, Leonard's actual childhood wasn't exactly the easiest. Leonard lost his father in an accident when he was six years old and struggled through poverty as an injury kept his mother mostly homebound.
