Novak Djokovic wore a Darth Vader mask before Halloween match in Paris
Novak Djokovic is either getting in the Halloween spirit at the Paris Masters or he's angling for a role in one of Disney's upcoming sequels to the Star Wars movies.
The soon-to-be world No. 1 (he'll pass Roger Federer on Monday) walked onto court before his Wednesday match against Sam Querrey wearing a Darth Vader mask. Fans in Paris cheered Djokovic's trick and treat and he triumphantly waved his arms before taking off the mask for the match.
Djokovic also wore a mask last Halloween at the Basel Indoor event. That one made him look a bit like Alice Cooper.
The Serbian is 4-0 lifetime against Querrey and has won 10 of 11 sets in those matches. If he builds an early lead, he should stay dedicated to his costume and try to finish off the American with a light saber and while breathing heavily.
UPDATE: Darth Djokovic stormed out to a bagel in the first set, but Querrey came back to pull the stunning upset, 0-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4. He must have used the force.
