Report: A&M freshman wide receiver found

Texas A&M freshman wide receiver Thomas Johnson has been found according to police ESPN and CNN report.

Thomas had been missing since Monday.

Johnson, one of the team's leading receivers, was last seen leaving his residence in College Station, Tex., on Monday at 5 p.m., wearing a black jacket, black shorts and grey shoes.

A spokesman for Texas A&M confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that Johnson did not attend practice on Monday. Since players were given Sunday off, the last time anyone related to the football program had seen Johnson was late Saturday, after the Aggies returned from a 29-24 win over Alabama.

According to a statement from the Texas A&M Police Department, Johnson may have left the university to spend time in the Dallas area, where he attended high school.

"All of us are obviously very concerned about the safety and well-being of Thomas Johnson, who has been missing since Monday evening," said Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin.

"Authorities are working closely with his family, friends and law enforcement agencies to help locate him. Thomas is a tremendous student-athlete, greatly admired by his fellow teammates and all of us on the coaching staff.

"If anyone has any current information about him or knows of his whereabouts, please contact his family or law enforcement authorities immediately. We pray for his quick and safe return."
