Jim Calhoun chills with real penguins (PHOTO)

Former UConn men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun watches the team from the sidelines in Tuesday night's win over Vermont.

Since retiring in September after 26 years as the University of Connecticut's men's basketball coach, Jim Calhoun is finally finding time to do things he wouldn't have been able to do in the grind of a normal season.

Like hang out with a pair of African penguins.

Calhoun, who serves as a trustee for Mystic Aquarium, did a video shoot with penguins Blue-Blue and Green-Blue, on the UConn campus Wednesday which will appear on the scoreboard during Huskies games.

I imagine the shoot was similar to Saturday Night Live's "Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals," except that the two penguins will likely be found ineligible by the NCAA due to illegal recruiting.

Former UConn coach Jim Calhoun has switched from motivating Huskies to a pair of penguins.
