Cam Newton made this child's day (VIDEO)

There's at least one person in Charlotte who believes in Cam Newton.

After Jonathan Stewart scored a one-yard touchdown in the Carolina Panthers overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the running back reversed protocol and handed the ball to his quarterback. The embattled Newton made a beeline for the back of the end zone and flipped a ball to a child, whose reaction was the picture of pure elation.
