Local obit blames Kansas City Chiefs for man's death

Chris Strauss, USA TODAY Sports
Kansas City Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel hasn't done much to ease one longtime fan's frustration.

Longtime Kansas City Chiefs fan Loren "Sam" Lickteig passed away on Wednesday at the age of 81. If the obituary in the Kansas City Star is to be believed, Romeo Crennel, Matt Cassel and decades of the team's incompetence may be to blame.

This departed Chiefs fan gets one final dig in against his hometown team.

"Loren G. "Sam" Lickteig passed away on Nov. 14, 2012 of complications from MS and heartbreaking disappointment caused by the Kansas City Chiefs football team," the obit reads.

Whether that great line was the work of Mr. Lickteig or his surviving kin, we offer our applause along with our condolences.
