Nick Fairley almost slammed Aaron Rodgers to turf (GIF)

There's at least some impulse control among Detroit Lions defenders.

Defensive tackle Nick Fairley almost pulled a move straight of The Undertaker's playbook on Sunday when he picked up Aaron Rodgers and appeared set to suplex him to the turf.

In the third quarter of Detroit's 24-20 loss, Fairley hit Rodgers in the backfield and jarred the ball loose. While it was bouncing on the turf, the defender picked up the quarterback for no apparent reason and appeared set to slam him to the ground. Then he thought better of it and gently placed Rodgers, feet first, back on the ground.

Rodgers and Fairley exchanged words after the play and were separated by teammates before Rodgers could discount double-check in his face and things really got out of hand.
