Blake Griffin is a safe choice to win any above-the-rim faceoff on a nightly basis.

Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams thought he'd try his luck against the Los Angeles Clippers star in the first quarter Friday. But by the time he took off, Williams was in a world of trouble.

Not only was Williams denied an easy bucket, he was also humiliated in the process. Rare is the "give me that" block that Griffin achieved by snatching the ball away from Williams before falling to the ground.

The season is young, but this might be atop the list of best blocks so far.
