Ohio State and Michigan players get chippy during pregame (VIDEO)

Paul Myerberg, USA TODAY Sports
Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde, middle, celebrates after scoring a touchdown in the first quarter. The Buckeyes beat the Michigan Wolverines 26-21.

Is this chippy? Only if it's Michigan-Ohio State, Auburn-Alabama or another deep-seeded college football rivalry.

So Buckeyes and Wolverines jawed a bit before the start of Saturday's game. I imagine that one guy was like, "We're going to win." And then a guy on the other team was like, "No, that's incorrect. We're going to win."

You know what other games get chippy? Oh, every other game of the 2012 season. But since it's Michigan-Ohio State, it's super, super chippy and exciting.

Video of the chippy to-do between Buckeyes and Wolverines:

You want to know about getting chippy during a rivalry? A few things that occurred when Florida and Florida got chippy in 1998:

Florida cornerback Tony George punched an FSU graduate assistant in the nose. (It was thought that George had punched defensive line coach Odell Haggins in the nose, but it was just a lowly assistant.)

Florida quarterback Doug Johnson reared back and threw a ball at FSU coach Bobby Bowden, narrowly missing and creating a decade's worth of Doug Johnson-related jokes. Instead, Johnson drilled one of FSU's assistant strength coaches.

Four players were ejected, two from each team.

That's chippy. Buckeyes and Wolverines barking is a love letter in comparison.
