Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland likes to retweet his fans. His fans like to tweet about Gary Bettman.

On Friday, Bolland retweeted a fan who wrote: "@DaveBolland can I get a RT for wanting Bettman dead?"

The retweet was later removed from Bolland's profile.

"It was a mistake, I never meant to retweet that out," Bolland told ESPN.com. "I like to retweet for a lot of my fans, and I just retweeted the wrong thing. I feel bad about it."

Yikes.

Bolland isn't the only NHL player venting about the NHL lockout. Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Bettman, tweeting, "Gary bettman's autobiography is in stores now. It's titled 'how I destroyed a sport and a nation'."

The NHL announced on Friday the cancellation of its annual All-Star Game. Nine weeks of the season have been lost.
