Earl Bennett flipped into end zone for cartwheel touchdown (GIF)

Chris Chase, USA TODAY Sports
Chicago Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett (80) scores on a 12-yard pass reception. The play was ruled a touchdown after a review.

Earl Bennett has almost become a forgotten man in the Chicago Bears offense over the past few weeks.

He still has 40 targets from former Vanderbilt teammate Jay Cutler, good enough for third on the team. Compare that to Brandon Marshall's 124 targets.

"The thing for me is just to do my job,'' Bennett said this week when asked about his role in the team's offense. "When the opportunities come, I have to take advantage of them.''

This is the way to do it.

The wide receiver caught a short pass from Cutler at the Seattle Seahawks 12-yard line, turned upfield, followed a block, lept from the two-yard line and was flipped into the end zone for the Bears' first score of the game. It was a lovely gymnastics tribute in the final month of this Olympic year.

Is it too late to make the "McKayla is not impressed" joke? What? It was too late months ago?
