Rick Pitino answers reporter's phone during press conference

Rick Pitino answered a media member's cellphone during a news conference after Louisville's win Saturday.

Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino was in a chipper mood after his team crushed Missouri-Kansas City 99-47 on Saturday.

So when a local media member's phone started ringing on the podium while Pitino was in the middle of his postgame news conference, Pitino nonchalantly answered as if it were his own cellphone.

The room erupted with laughter, but funnyman Pitino was then taken off-guard when he was indirectly asked out "for drinks" later in the night.

After exchanging a few words, the woman on the phone (who surely didn't know she was talking to an NCAA title-winning coach) asked about meeting up after work. Pitino politely declined, using a "recruiting" excuse, and then handed the phone over to its owner.

WNDA host Bob Domine was the mystery media member who probably has never been that embarrassed before in his life.

Pitino couldn't help but laugh, saying, "Some people want to have a drink with you, Bob. And they want to meet at Jeff Ruby's (Steakhouse)."

Um, talk about an awkward moment for Domine. It would make for a perfect "Wanna get away?" commercial.

At least Pitino was in a good mood. He's had worse media interviews.
