Four English Premier League clubs wore black armbands during their matches Saturday, honoring the victims of the tragedy in Newtown, Conn., where 20 students and six teachers and caretakers were killed in Friday's shooting attack at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Liverpool and Aston Villa both have American owners, and wore the armbands in Villa's 3-1 win.

Queens Park Rangers and Fulham also honored the victims in QPR's 2-1 win, and the club's official Twitter said the tribute came at the request of their players.
