The Houston Texans played host to a heartwarming family reunion on a weekend when the country needed one most.

United States Army Chief Warrant Officer Eric Spoerle has been serving our country in Afghanistan. On Sunday, his three sons were called onto the field at Reliant Stadium to receive Christmas gifts from the team. As they opened boxes that included Arian Foster and Andre Johnson jerseys, they were unaware that the biggest present of all was hiding underneath a box on a nearby vehicle.

Their dad had returned from overseas to surprise them before Christmas.

If you've found your eyes misty this weekend while watching news coverage from Connecticut, this video may bring welcome tears of a happier kind.
