Book trailers: Robin recs 'Mark of Abel,' 'Sorrowmoor'

Robin Covington, special for USA TODAY

Hello, friends!

I have fallen in love with Robert Downey Jr. He is the inspiration for my movie star hero in my WIP and I've been indulging in a little research – hours of watching him in movies. It's a very hard job, but I'm willing to go that extra mile for a great book. And, when I get a little time to squeeze in a book, my current one is One Night with a Hero by the amazing Laura Kaye!

The Mark of Abel by Viola Ryan is a tale of the original fallen angel and a modern-day artist who can help deliver him from his eternal damnation. The script sounds intriguing and fresh. But what grabbed my eye about this trailer is that it was created by the author after taking the book trailer class by Kris Tualla at Savvy Authors. Professionally executed – well done!

I'm not a big reader of Gothic romance novels, but this trailer is eerie and atmospheric. The haunting piano music adds so much to the experience. In fact the melody is so "Rebecca-like" creepy that I can't wait to add Sorrowmoor by Lisa Greer to my Kindle.

Thanks so much for the referrals and suggestions! Remember, they need to be romances (any genre is OK) and I will take a look. You can send your suggestions to robin@robincovingtonromance.com.

See you next Thursday!
